Painting Courses and Sketching in Turkey

Six-day painting courses for all levels including beginners in the beautiful town of Kas in South Anatolia. Designed to combine the experience of painting a beautiful and very ancient landscape with a delightful holiday in the sun. The intensity of the light and glorious colours of the ‘Turquoise Coast’, combined with the challenge of finding marks made by human hands thousands of years ago, will make this painting course an experience you will never forget.

St. Ives is without doubt one of the most special towns in Cornwall, and its bay and harbour have in recent years been voted as amongst the most beautiful worldwide. Known for its unusual quality of light, artists from all over the world have been drawn to work and live here for over a century. This quality of light, the town’s cobbled streets and centuries-old fishermen’s cottages as well as the mystical, ancient landscape and ragged coastline around surely make it one of the most attractive places for landscape painting in Britain.

A new course for 2010 in collaboration with Art in the Algarve, an art school and art holiday provider set up in 2008 in the quaint and charming town of Olhao, just half an hour's drive from Faro. An artist's paradise with historical buildings dating back to 1800 this beautiful little town is one of the Algarve's last remaining working towns. It will offer artists a chance to sample a true look into the Portuguese way of life combined with a fantastic painting experience.
